Janice A. Kokosenski, 52, of New York Mills passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with her sister by her side holding her hand. Janice was born in Utica on July 26, 1960, a daughter of Stephen and Helen (Blynkiewicz) Kokosenski. She was a graduate of UFA and Utica College. Janice was employed by the Utica School District at Hughes Elementary School in Utica. She was of the Catholic faith. Janice loved traveling with her sister and niece, picnics at Green Lakes State Park, attending Boilermaker parties and the Broadway Theater League and shopping for her great niece Sofia. Janice is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Thomas Connors, Whitesboro, a special niece and her husband, Kelly and Michael Sugarman, Grafton, MA and a very special great niece, Sofia Sugarman, also of MA. Janice's funeral will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 11:00 from Our Lady of The Rosary Church, New Hartford. Burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday morning from 9:00-10:15. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to Mark and Marianne from the Siegenthaler Center for all the care and compassion given to Janice.
