Thomas E. Brown New Hartford Thomas E. Brown, 56 of Elmhurst Dr., New Hartford, passed away at his home on April 28, 2013. Tom was born in Utica, NY on November 9, 1956, the son of Thomas R. and Regina (McGee) Brown. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Morrisville College. Tom was employed at Utica Hydramatic. He had previously been employed with Don Carbone Ford and Montgomery Wards. Very sports minded, Tom was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, and fisher man. He enjoyed coaching his sons in Pop-Warner football, New Hartford Little League baseball, New Hartford AYSO soccer, and CYO Basketball. He performed his personal best as State Champion Power Lifter. He was proud to have formerly held the position of President of the Robert A. Myles School PTA. Tom was very religious minded. He was a religion teacher at St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. He was often in attendance at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Verona, and was a member of Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Regina; his two sons who he cherished dearly, Thomas A. and his fiancee Kandra Grudenich of Ann Arbor, MI., and Travis E. of Cary, N.C.; his parents, Thomas R. and Regina Brown; Two brothers and a sister in law, Timothy Brown of Utica and Michael F. and Ramona Brown of Utica; his in laws, John Amrhein, Maureen and Phil Rubyor, Bernadette and Michael Slabicki, Ben and Lori Urgan, Brian and Robin Amrhein, Blaine Amrhein, Elaine Williams, Eileen and Curt Girard, Diane Malone and Derek Smith, Kurt Amrhein, and Andrea and Heidi Kloczkowski; a godchild, Sean Robertson; and many nieces, nephews , and close friends. Tom was pre-deceased by his mother and father in law, John and Delores Amrhein; two uncles, Ted and Nelson Brown; two Brothers in law Greg and John M. Amrhein; and two nieces, Adrienne Williams and Amy Amrhein. Mr. Brown's Funeral will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica,where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday evening. Donations in Tom's memory would be appreciated to Historic Old St. John's Church or to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Verona.
