June L. Getz, 84, of North Utica passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Siegenthaler Center and now is reunited with her husband and other family members that went before her. June was born in Utica on March 21, 1929 a daughter of LeRoy and Mary (Fellows) LaDue. In Utica on July 14, 1962 June was united in marriage to Francis E. Getz a blessed union of 46 years until his death in 2008. For many years until her retirement June was employed with the Oneida National Bank. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. June had many pastimes that she enjoyed such as fishing, golfing and sewing. She was a wonderful person who loved life and all it had to offer. Her most special times were those spent with her family. June is survived by two nieces, Deborah Galotti (Nick), Utica and Charlene Salewski (Sieg), Ilion, a nephew, Layne LaDue (Joanne), Herkimer, a special friend, James Gaffney and several cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends. June was predeceased by a brother, LeRoy (Whitey) LaDue. In keeping with June's wishes there are no calling hours . A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for June will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 at St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Those so wishing may make donations to St. Peter's Church or the Siegenthaler Center in June's memory.
