I met Mike years ago and we hit it off instantly. He was a brilliant artist and a good friend. He was on my mind and I went to look him up online and just found out the news. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. Mike- You were a master with words and always encouraged me to pursue my artistic passions as well. There are so many things that I want to say. I of course want to thank you for all of the memories. For countlessly reciting my favorite poem to me, "If I could hold the moon close.." (Yes I remember the first few lines) because I'm sure that it got old...For all of the late night conversations..I remember when we first started talking and our conversations would go all throughout the night and into the morning...and that never changed. Conversations about everything and nothing.. Your laugh and your smiles.. Our middle of the night rides through Utica..Showing me what there was to see...I wish this wasn't true...I wish I could have had one more of those conversations with you...Heard one more poem. I'm sorry for the long bouts of silence and for the times that we drifted apart, I never wanted to stop being your friend...You were a one of a kind, fun, deep intellectual person. Oh how I wish this wasn't true... Love and Respect (and I'll see you again someday...), Erica
