Alice H. LaMore, 97, of North Port, Fl and formerly of Utica, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. Alice was born in Whitesboro on July 29, 1919, a daughter of George and Alice (Reid) Caister and was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. On February 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to E. Donald LaMore, a blessed union of 36 years until his death on September 4, 1978. For many years she was employed with Bendix Corp. Alice's greatest pleasure in life was time spent with family and friends. To Alice it did not matter if it was a holiday, a party or an informal get together, they were moments cherished. Alice is survived by her daughter Cindy Hemberger and husband, Rod, of North Port, FL, three grandchildren, Kari Chaberek and husband, Adam, of FL, J.R. Hemberger and wife, Shelby, of KY and Don Hemberger, of FL, two great grandsons, Sam and Eli and many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by a sister Mary Ann O'Neil and two brothers, George and Robert Caister. Mrs. LaMore's funeral will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 11:30 from St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday morning from 9-11. Those so wishing may make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
