Jennifer A. Scheening, 45, of North Utica passed away at home on Sunday, January 25, 2009 with her loving family by her side. Jennifer was born in Potsdam, NY on January 4, 1964 a daughter of Carolyn (Joan) LaBarge Deon and the late Gerald (Joe) Deon. She was raised and educated in Potsdam and later attended Canton College. In Potsdam on October 30, 1993 Jennifer married Berry J. Scheening. She was currently employed with the law firm of Costello, Cooney and Fearon, PLLC, of Syracuse, NY. Prior to this she was employed with the law firm of Robert Halliday, Potsdam, NY. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Berry, two daughters; Brianna M. Scheening and Taylor A. Scheening , both at home, a son; Mark A. Sharp, Utica, her mother; Carolyn Deon, Potsdam, three sisters and brothers-in-law; Carolyn and Steve LeBire, Massena, NY, Lori and Kim Sprague, Potsdam, NY and Mary and Dan Boyer, Norwood, NY, four brothers and sisters-in-law; Gerald and Marsha Deon, Michael and Marilyn Deon, Steve and Judy Deon, all of Potsdam and Shawn and Karen Deon, Palatine Bridge, NY and three grandchildren. A memorial mass for Jennifer will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 10:00 from St. Peter's Church, North Utica. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family, the American Cancer Society or Hospice and Palliative Care Inc.
