Paul was born in Utica on March 21, 1920, the son of Joseph H. and Ella M. (Mullen) Schrempf and received his education in local schools. Paul was a lifetime member and usher of St. Joseph St. Patrick Church, Utica, the Holy Name Society at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church and a former member of St. Anne's Church, Whitesboro. He had a great love for Blessed Mother Marianne Cope, Foundress of the Franciscan Missions in Molokai and looked forward to attending the dedication of her Shrine in front of his beloved church. Mr. Schremp is survived by a nephew, Jim Schremp and his wife, Lucy, Rochester; a niece, Beverly Mulloy and her husband, Brian, Sauquoit; and a lifetime friend and caregiver, Betty Frank, Utica. He was predeceased by three sisters, Bernadine M. Schrempf, Marian Kreimeyer and Rosella Schrempf; and two brothers, Jerome Schremp and Willard Schremp. Mr. Schremp's funeral will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, and 11:00 at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Saturday morning, 9:30-10:30 prior to the service.
