So sorry for your loss. Joe was a cousin to my uncle, George McLoughlin, so knew him through my aunt and uncle as well as dealing with him at the Dept of the Aging for my Mom. Joe was always pleasant and knowledgeable in his job at the Dept. of the Aging. He will surely be missed by all.

I have know Joe From my years in the USAR program located on Burrstone Rd. Joe took me under his wing and was always an assistance to me during my time in the military. He always had time for me and never seemed to be too busy. He loved to talk about Niagara Mohawk(now National Grid) since I was employed there either in Albany or Syracuse. We had many long discussions about the company. Although I didn’t see Joe much I will miss him and his stories. Rest easy Joe, you’ve earned it

COL Joe was known to me when he was a Captain and gave me a start as a Private in 1968 guiding me eventually to LTC. When he (and June) retired from the Family Support Program, my wife Binnie and I took it over guided by Joe,s experience and expertise. We will always remember their combined dedication. I worked with Joe at United Cerebral Palsy in the early to mid 90's and enjoyed every minute working with him. Great man who I also enjoyed being around Joe while playing softball for 20 years. My heart goes out to your family, and like we would say to each other every day got a dollar Joe lol. God Bless you Joe .

I recall Joe Campanaro from my own time in the Army Reserves- 1981-1991. Col Campanaro- beyond his military rank and demeanor- was a kind, thoughtful, good person. He accomplished much and helped so many men and women
In his quiet, unassuming way. I learned useful life lessons from Joe. Col. CAmpanaro will be remembered for his contributions to both the Army Medical Department and the Utica community. He was a positive, lasting influence on my life over these many years. Thank you.
