Fran created memories and experiences for so many people.. His sense of humor and personality were uncommon and appreciated by those who knew him well. RIP “Franny”

You always kept me updated on our family and remembered to send a card for the holidays. Remembering the reunion you planned. So sorry you never got to visit us in Vermont even though we made countless plans. Rest in peace.

I worked in the Utica City Hall in the early 70's - he was always one of my favorite people. His caring and trustworthiness were very evident - such a great guy! My condolences to his family.

Rich and Carol. Sorry for the unexpected loss of Frannie. He was always entertaining and fun to be with when we visited. Wish we could have known him in his younger years when he was so active in his hometown of Utica N.Y. Even in Rapid City S.D. he was always active in Senior Olympic games. Our family will miss him. Fran was also survived by his two cousins in Utica who he was close to during his time living here . Howard and Ed Keyes . Howard and his wife had Fran over for his favorite pizza quite a few times and Fran had this past Christmas dinner with Howard’s entire family . We had our last visit when he came to say goodbye a week before his move . Ed and his wife had Fran over to their home several times for her famous Italian cooking . His cousins and families Are heartbroken over his passing !

My condolences to you as Frans family. As I read the obituary, I had forgotten all the accomplishments he had in his life. It was a year ago we had a beer up in Old Forge when he spoke about moving to Mississippi and was excited about the move. There are a lot of us Fran touched with his involvement over the years. It was because of Fran that I got started in hockey at a young age as he put together a team in Utica thru the Robak Post which got a lot of kids started. We would play games in Toronto for hockey, and play in Utica for baseball. I was also fortunate to play baseball on his Frans Wiz Kids team as well as many other kids from all neighborhoods of Utica. Fran was always active in promoting youth sports and we have him to thank for those opportunities. That smile will be missed, but well remembered. Rest in peace Fran.
