Hello Carl - this is Dave Kleps. So sorry to read about Doug’s passing. I of course have many memories from our neighbors across the street - from your moms night work hours - shhh! - to Doug’s pool room - to your dad’s Never Dull - and sadness for Doug when he left - I remember when Doug got a cool go cart from him
We did some crazy stuff - like our first time drinking too much at a woods party with the older guys - but none crazier then when I convinced him to hitchhike to Raquette Lake when we were 15! Oh we got in trouble for that!
Doug’s passing must have been sudden as I saw his truck in my office parking lot just last week but I missed him - he must have had an appointment at one of the offices
I had a chance to chat with him several times over the years - my mom always enjoyed his visits - I know he was active in the Inlet church and he took great pride in that
Lastly I want to offer condolences for the awful fire and passing of Anne - I remember her baby sitting us - sorry for your loss
I am currently cooped up with Covid for the first time so I don’t know if I can make the calling hours - possibly the funeral - if not I send sad regards - hope you and your family are well
