Obituary of Douglas J. Carlson

      Mr. Douglas J. Carlson, 67, of New Hartford, NY and Inlet, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in Inlet.

     Douglas was born in New Hartford, on September 25, 1955, the son of Carl J. and Mary Elizabeth (Stein) Carlson and received his education in New Hartford schools.  For many years, Doug was employed as a truck driver with Yellow Roadway Transportation in Maybrook, NY.  He was a member of Teamsters local 707 and an active member of Inlet Community Church, Inlet, NY.

     Mr. Carlson is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Carolyn Carlson of Massena, NY; nephews and nieces, Scott (Skye Allen) Dunham of Chicago, IL, Laurie Stoetzner of Clinton, Carrie (David) Skuban of Binghamton and Carl (Sarrah Kubinec) Carlson, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as several great nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Ann E. Dunham.

     Mr. Carlson’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.  He will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Kirkland.  Visitation for family and friends is Monday, October 10th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Those wishing to make a donation in Doug’s memory, please consider Inlet Community Church, 12 S. Shore Rd., Inlet, NY 13360.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
