Obituary of Cynthia Sue Benjamin

Cynthia Benjamin, 68, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the comfort of her home following a valiant battle with cancer.

     She was born on June 26, 1954, in Utica, New York and was the daughter of the former Byron and Elizabeth (Conklin) Benjamin.  Cindy received her education from Utica Schools graduating from UFA class of 1973.  She furthered her education attending Utica School of Commerce receiving an associate’s degree.  Cindy was employed as a Claims Adjustor with United Health Care and has 30 years of dedicated service.  In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all she cherished the time she shared with her little cousins.

     She is survived by her beloved brother Brian Benjamin, Utica, a special cousin that took special care of Cindy in her time of need Linda Crumb,aunt Carolyn Conklin, several cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her brother Edward Henry Benjamin and a sister Patricia Benjamin.

    In keeping with Cindy’s wishes, there will be a graveside service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Oriskany Falls with Deacon Richard Prusko presiding.  The family is being cared for by Heintz funeral Services, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY.
