I was a co-worker with Joyce at Harding Nursing Home, I was the social worker for many years and I knew her as a co-worker, friend and then a resident. She always genuinely cared and set the standard for others to follow. Her sense of humor often got the staff and me through difficult hours and days, which you face when working in a nursing home. When she and Ray came to live at Harding, she faced the changes with grit and determination to make "it work". She and Ray did make it work. They had many friends and hobbies to keep them active. After I retired and I would go to visit, she was always on my list of people to say "hello" to. Rest in Peace Joyce and Ray.
Heaven has gained another nurse.
