My family is deeply saddened by Carrie’s passing. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She made my daughters fist grade experience so incredibly special that we will always be indebted to her. She went above and beyond what any normal teacher would do, coming to her birthday party and horse show. She was constantly sharing funny moments that happened in class, one of my favorites was when she was singing baby shark to the class and Greyson stood up and started singing “cutie Plunky do do do do”, Greyson truly adored her. Greyson would come visit her classroom daily after she was no longer in her class, my daughter Caroline (beans) only had her for a month through COVID but loved her too. When beans started kindergarten she was late to school one day and went to get breakfast and the lunch lady was mean to her because she was “late”, she started to cry, Greyson who was in second grade at the time ran, not to her own teacher or to beans teacher, but straight to Ms. Plunkett, who marched down to the cafeteria and made sure beans got her coco puffs. Greyson is now in 6th grade and Caroline is in 4th my youngest just started 1st, and it’s bittersweet. I stayed in contact though Facebook messenger with Carrie throughout the years and considered her a friend. She will forever be in our memories and hearts. We are so profoundly sad for your loss.
