Obituary of Kelly Ann (Alsheimer) Drew

       Kelly Ann (Alsheimer) Drew, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2024.

    Kelly was born in Utica, on November 20, 1959, the eldest daughter of Andrew and Barbara (Barcomb) Alsheimer. She was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and earned her RN degree from MVCC. Kelly was a dedicated nurse and worked all around the country and most recently with Mohawk Valley Health System. She was a beloved colleague and great friend to all those she worked with. In 1990, Kelly married David Drew, and from the union their beloved daughter Dana was born. Kelly proudly served her country and was a veteran of both the Army and Navy. Kelly loved gardening, traveling and watching old movies. Her greatest love was spending time with her beloved daughter and family.

     Kelly is survived by her daughter, Dana Drew of Virginia; brother, Andrew Alsheimer of Clinton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy and Bill Cady of Rome and Karen and Patrick Devitt of Dublin Ireland as well as her nieces, nephew, aunts, cousins and many dear friends. A dog lover, she also leaves behind her beloved Golden Retriever, Molly. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Barbara.

     Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of Visitation. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Utica at the convenience of her family.
