This is a photo of some of the participants in Troop 101's 1966 50 mile canoe trip through the Fulton Chain of Lakes. It was taken at the conclusion of the trip when the families of those involved were invited to greet us at the completion of our adventure.

To Brian, Linda and the entire Berg family, my deepest condolences during this sorrowful time. I have fond memories of Tom when he lived on Schuyler Street in Utica during the 1960's when my entire family was acquainted with the entire Berg family who lived just a few doors down. I know that Tom was a proud member of Troop 101 who held their meetings at Dryer Memorial Church on the corner of Court Street and Lennox Avenue. He was part of the advanced Explorer group of Troop 101 and he set a fine example for the younger scouts in the troop. My Dad was scoutmaster during that time, and we went on monthly campouts. During those outings, I know my dad wouldn't let anyone but Tom make his morning coffee by brewing it in a percolator over an open campfire. It was obvious that Tom took a special pride in brewing the perfect cup. Cherish the wonderful memories of Tom, for they will bring you comfort in the weeks and months ahead.

As a neighbor of 16 years, it was always easy to see him outside or getting in and out of his car. Most of the time it was carrying his golf clubs. He was always easy to talk to about anything, and everything, and never did he never have enough time. Later in years as he became ill, he still would wave, and if he was able to, a short conversation. His son tom was always there to help with everything he needed, as well as taking care of the house inside, and outside. I will miss a great friend, and neighbor, may he rest in peace.

Q: What will you never forget about Thomas?
A: My parents were very close with Tom and Cindy. Some of my greatest memories were going on vacation with our families. Tom always wore the craziest hats. He would try hard to embarass us. He will truly be missed. ❤️

Spanning over 50 years, from hockey nights at the Clinton Comets Arena to Tuesday night bowling to poker nights with the guys to casino visits of the present Tom was a competitor. He was in it to win it. He was Never bashful about giving you tips to improve your game, whether in bowling or golf; all you had to do was ask...or not.
Tom, you will be missed.
